Limited poker this trip, but quite enjoyable
Tried the Harrah's 1pm Saturday tournament.
4 tables, good folks, bad play on my part.
shortly after dinner break, I make a play for
the blinds, and thought a large stack was playing
back at me with not too much..........except AA.
Oh,well.
Great structure to play. Only negative: two
hours between any break. I understand it is built to be a long tourney, but I have never played anywhere with breaks exceeding 90minutes.
Dealers: overall very, very good. Two,however, assumed I had checked my bb. I do not take too
much time to think usually, but don't like a dealer mind-reading :)

I played one 3 1/2 hour session at Bellagio
4/8. Everything worked out fine. Got a seat within 10 minutes, two young and aggessive/large
stacks 1 and 3 seats to my right, with 3 passive
players to my left. young guys pounded my blinds. I, in turn, was able to pound their very
common raises with ocassinal, but almost always
profitable 3-bets. Lots of calling meant I lost
two big pots with AA vs 86o, and AK to K7o(with
an A on the flop), but overall very positive at
~+$300. One grumpy old dude at other end of the table, tried a few shots, none successful.
One involved me raising his blind, announcing raise, tossing in 7 chips, and him calling string bet. Dealer and other players could not
convince him otherwise, we waited a bit till the floor got there, shook his head and said "tom, you know better than that". tom donated,so no big deal.

Played ~90 uneventful minutes at a new
1-2NL table at the B Sunday morning. Only
played one had past the flop, down $18.

In spite of the frequent reports about the Bellagio, I had a good experience, friendly (but
harried) staff, very good dealers, quick drinks,
etc.

  1. At the Bellagio are the tables still really close together? Thats what i didn't like about that room,it was hard to move around and everything just seem crammed in that room....
