Got in late on the 4th, staying at MGM. Room was crappy, but who cares. Came in with my wife and parents for some poker and a visit with my cousin. Didnt play at all that night, way too tired. Got up early and headed over to Planet Hollywood for the 10:00am tourney. About 40 runners..Could get much going and busted out right before the break when I pushed all in With KQhrts on a board of 8h Ah and 4 clubs. Villian tanks for 3 minutes and calls with KJ off (no hearts) and hits the J on the river. I tried to bluff with all my chips against a station. Bad move me. Sat down at the 1/2 Nl game and quickly won back my $60 buy-in plus another 50. Played real aggressive, re rasing before flop and then firing out a continuation..
Hit the strip with my wife and parents and met up with my cousins. Walked to IP and sat down at 1/2 NL. Made $300 in 20 minuets. Second hand, I have AhQh in Mid position. UTG raises to $15. I re-raise to $50, he calls. I put him on A-K or Mid Pair. Flop A,7.3 rainbow. Villian checks I bet $25, he calls. I'm pretty sure I'm looking at AK here, as my small bet would chase anything but that hand here, unless he hit a set. Next card is Qd. Villian goes all in. I call for my last $125. Villian truns over A6! River a innocent K, and I've doubled up. I learn after that villian had been sucking out on people all day and his bad play finally caught up with him. Took down some more small pots and leave IP.
After dinner, head back to MGM and play some more 1/2 Nl. Table is rock tight, $7 pre flop raises bringing in folds all night. After 2 hours (I'm down to $150) Following hand comes up: I'm in big blind with red 9's. UTG raises to 7, Button Reraises to $20 and I and UTG call. Flop come Ad-9s-Kc. I check, knowing I will get action. UTG bets $40, Button Goes all in for $85. I tank for a minute, decided I have to isolate, and go all for $130. Utg thinks for 2 minutes and mucks. Dealer proudly turns over AKh, and looks sick as I turn over my set. Turn and River blank, and I rake the first big pot of the session. Play for 30 mineuts more and leave up $250.
NExt day hit Planet Holloywood touney again, and do no better. I go all in with AQc with T3500 (blinds are 200-400) after Mid position rasies to 1200 and there are 2 callers. 2 pf the callers call my raise and turn over K-10d and pocket 6's! A king in the door seals my fate and I'm out. Sit down at the 1/2 game and lose $50, when great starting hands complete hit air on the flop and I fold to large raises. Head over to TI. Great Room, great people!Play 1/3. After a card dead 40 mins, I double my buy in when I hit a flush against a King High Straight. I know why everyone raves about this room. I ad a ball playing here. No AVP's, but as I cash out I meet Dannette, and Identifiy myself as an AVP. She asks if I had fun and invites me back to to the 7pm tourney, which I couldn't make becuase of dinner reservations. Side note: Dannette is stunningly beautiful, yet another reason everyone plays here!!
After dinner, hit Ballys and lose $50 on 1/2... Over to MGM play some $3-6 limit for a change of pace, win $40, sit down at NL and after an hour I'm felted when my all in raises with pocket Q's (after a $15 raises, a $50 dollar re raise)is called by pocket 9's. 9 hits the turn and Im done for the night.
Last day... Go to Venetian, but cant get into a game (disappointing, really wanted to play here) hit mirage, same here.... Back to MGM, play in the 6pm tourney. Play very well, but I'm, crippled when my all in with AKs is called by pocket 8's which fails to improve. I'm out in 12th place a little while later when my pocket 10's are called by Ak and a ace in the door kills me.
A little more 1/2 against a table full of crazy Daniel Negraneu wanna be's. Every hand is reraised 3 times before the flop, after which they all talk about how they "had you on ..." (I swear, they were wrong everytime). I'm lucky to only lose $40 to this crazy play.

Catch the plane home.. Overall, I am very ahppy with my play on this trip, my reads were spot on everytime, and only once got my money in the middle with the worst of it. Can't wait to go back!
