Win at the Wynn.

Hands down, the Wynn poker room is my favorite. The staff is always polite, even to lowly 4/8 players. I was wondering if service would drop off some with the Wynn Classic happening, and staffing may have been stretched thin. I was very wrong, as they continued to amaze me. Plus, the dealers continue to run the games very well. A hand came up where I flopped a set, and then check-raised the turn agains two people. One opponent talked out loud about what he put me on. He put me on the wrong hand, but he shouldn't have been talking if another player was still in the hand. The dealer made him be quiet, and threatened to call the floor if it countinues.

Another situation came up where one player was mad at another for talking so much, and the dealer tried to stop it, very politely and professionally. One player said, "You don't know s**t." They then kicked that player out. That is why I love the Wynn. They don't mess around with any player. They don't let anyone get away with anything.

I played very well. The table was very loose, and some were very aggressive, especially pre-flop. Usually I have trouble with those kinds of games, but I did well. I also had some great hands, as I had 2 or 3 boats, flopped sets 4 times, and made quads once. Played very tight, but everyone paid me off the whole way. The pots I won were very large.

After a little over 5 hours of play, I made $345.

  1. Nice report, I've only played the Wynn once (also 4/8) and found it an exceptional room although they pack the 4/8ers in pretty tight in that back corner. Nice to hear they had the room well under control

  2. I plan on playing at the Wynn on my next trip out, thanks!
