33 rd trip to the adult play ground. Came in a day early to get in $600 Venetion Deep stack event. Night 1 we stayed at Vention. Would recomend staying there. They give good rates to poker players. Let us check in real early so this was a big plus since Deep stack started at 12. Got to rest after 4 hour flight before getting in Deep stack.
My only complaint is they held it in Plazzo casino and it was a long walk to. I have a bad wheel and no one seemed to know where it was. Tournament was run very well from what I saw. Dealers were good and somewhat friendly. I thought most of the players were some what weak but a lot of action first hour. I let myself get pushed off a few hands that were not strong but would of been winners. Way over betting but I didn't want to go out making stupid calls. After about an hour or so it settled down. Was all most card dead for about 2 hours and I like to play. I'm not sitter I will play weaker hands at times but is was bad. Got rivered twice bad in big pots. Once flopped a set of 7's only to get rivered for a flush. Runner runner at that. 2nd was a pot with a ton of chips I flopped two pair only to get rivered for a straight. I will say she had a ton of outs. Hung around another two hours winning some small all ins. Got killed on blinds nothing special about hand that took me out. Would recomend maybe waiting a little before buying in let it settle down. Gambled a bit and got crushed so went to bed early since I had been up since 5 am east coast time. Sunday morning went down to poker room before checking out. Played in 2-5 nl cash game. Lots of action for 9 am. Players are good better then tourney. Made some good reads and took some nice pots down. Flopped spade flush(10s,As,9s) lots of money in pot guy bets I raise he calls others fold. Turn nothing river ace comes I check he bets I shove all in. He rivered me with a full house. I'ts my fault I let him get there. I was trying to get paid. So now we head over to Ceasers to stay the rest of the week.
Ceasers was terrible at check in had no rooms ready and didn't care that it was check in time. All the places in Ceasers we ate at were way under staffed and made you wait when tables were open. I asked they said they dont have enough staff. I have an idea hire some people.
Played in 3pm tourny not bad. Dealers were ok and other players new what they were doing. Nothing special exept getting rivered out of tourny. Player was big stack so it is what it is. Stopped in poker room couple of times wanting to get in cash game. They were in no rush to open more tables. Boarderline lazy about it.
If anyone is going on a poker trip I would recomend Venetian lots of action at all times and they want poker players.

  1. Thanks for the review.

  2. Thanks for posting. I've always found the Caesars and Venetian customer service to both be great...sounds like you didn't have the same experience! Venetian definitely has more poker games, but I think both rooms are extremely comfortable to play in.
