Just got back from my first weekend poker trip to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. I arrived Friday night to play in their $135 buy in short stack tournament. The poker room itself was nice and had around 20 poker tables. The tables were recently re-felted and USB charging ports were added to the outside rails. So Harrah's did their job right, now how about the competition. Their were around 60 players that night and I was told it was an off night probably because the previous weekend was a holiday. At least half of the players however were regulars, and it was obvious from the start. The quality of players did not live up to my expectation. The final table consisted of all regulars who had erratic strategies and multiple buyins. So you get my drift here.

The cash tables seemed good, plenty of 1/2, 2/5 and one Omaha PL table. The competition again wasn't as strong as you would expect.

All in all the casino was great and they seem to be doing all they can to provide a great poker room. I give the casino an "A" and the competition a "C".
