Here's what's happening at all the Nevada online poker sites for the week ending 03/09!
In Nevada, WSOP-com runs a $15,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee. Last Sunday, there were 91 players, a drop from 106 players the week before. The buy-in was $200 + $15, so this event beat the guarantee by $3,200. The winner was BShriever5, who got $5,187. Piejay, last week's winner, played but did not cash. Regular Kathy "pokerkat" Liebert made another final table and cashed in third.
Satellites are already running at WSOP-com in both New Jersey and Nevada for this summer's live World Series of Poker events, happening in just two months.
Ultimate Poker runs a $10,000 Guarantee in Nevada. Last week's event got 88 players, the third straight week of declining numbers (96 players last week, 115 the week before and 119 before that). With a buy-in of $91 + $9, this left a $1,992 overlay. The Agnostic won this time, and earned $2,900.
Player Numbers
According to PokerScout, the player populations at WSOP and Ultimate remain very close to one another. It might take a strong effort on Ultimate's part to compete with WSOP's live satellites, though.
