The room is very nice but very cramped. I have read alot about all the rooms on this site but went in with an open mind. I thought that the tables were very close together. When the waitress came around, she always bumped my chair trying to squeeze through my chair and the guy sitting behind me at another table. More on this later. Room was clean and management was swift.
I don't know if I sat at a bad table but the competition at the 2/5 NL was very poor. People were raising without looking at their cards. One calling station sat down and played every single hand, no matter what the cards were. He was calling $30 preflop with off suited gappers. Table was very soft and wish I had more time to play there this trip. I am going back on Wednesday, May 7 for more action...this time 3 days, not just 24 hours to see a friend.
The dealers were great. I was card dead most of the day but otherwise it was fantastic. I played during the Derby yesterday and the whole room shut down while it was going on. Standing room only. It was crazy, the hallway outside the poker room leading to the sports book was packed, bigtime security nightmare.
This is where the experience turns sour quickly. I played for almost 4 hours. I was served 2 drink during that time. I gave her a $5 for the first drink and told her I would like her to come back as soon as she could. I just wanted to get hammered with my buddy, haha. We went through 3 dealers without a drink and then called the floor manager and he did some asking around to get us a waitress. The table behind us was complaining about teh same thing. By the way, I got a woman using a chair as a walker confused with the waitress a couple of time because they might have been sisters. I stayed at the Wynn and was amazed at those girls but the Bellagio's girls were HORRIBLE.
I put my friend's and my name on the list and we went to buy tickets for O, right around the corner. When we came back, a new table was opened up. we only waited for about 5 minutes. They could have helped with the drink situation more.
Didn't inquire about comps because I was only in town for 24 hours. It was a nice drive from Phoenix on sat morning and back home on sunday morning. if anyone wants to play, i will be back this week on wednesday through sat am. send me a message if you want.
