Mix Mardi Gras and Poker and what do you get?

First off, my review is dated, but I want to get into the habit of providing reviews because as Spring approaches, I intend to be tour hopping. I live in Greater Houston (for now) and as such, serious poker ventures have been spread out for me, I hope to change that.
I visited this poker room for the first time on Memorial day weekend shortly after it became a WSOPC stop. The refurb they had thrown at it for hosting the event has paid off and was holding up well as of my other visit two years ago.
My first night I allowed myself $100 from the ATM mainly because there wasn'y much behind that. I caught sets on a raiser three times in in an hour to give me an intimidating stack and after I got it in with my AA vs. KK, I just looked ridiclous. Somewhere artound 5 in the morning I got up with $1600, but know to this day I was on an undeserved heater. I gave my sister a chunk for her birthday and then proceeded to feed it all back over the rest of the weekend. I tell the story to emphasize that my experience then was full of fun and the staff were excellent in supporting that. Dealers are business-y and friendly at the same time. Room managment looks like barely reined chaos because the number of games going on constantly, but it is actually well handled...unless your just trying to get your parking validated...you have to be patient for that.
The second go round was the WSOPC stop two years ago and I never cashed. I also lost in the cash room. But I can only blame myself for any blues...cuz this is the home of jazz baby! Aside from circuit grinders, and even some of them, the atmosphere of a party city always pervades and it shows in the action on the cash tables.
Harrah's knows they are the premier location of LA and they intend to keep it that way. I didn't put in table specs because another review seemed accurate to my waning memory. The competition is the mixed bag of the tourists you're looking to fleece and the regs that feed on this.
Barring utter failure in the menatime, I intend to attend WSOPC this year and will give another, more up to date review after that.

So so

Dealers are competent, but talk a bit more than they should. They do not enforce "the capping/buy in of the largest... Leer Más
