Vying for the top...

The room is brand new. If I had to nitpick to find even the tiniest fault, I'd say that the chips are too new to shuffle effectively. How's that for trying to find something wrong? The chairs were super comfortable, and had height adjustments and wheels on them! That's all I could ever want. Nicer than any chair at my house (a.k.a. folding steel).

The players were a mix. I think because it's such a new room, tourists come and play to check it out, and some of the locals are starting to get comfortable there. The game was pretty tight, so if you play even semi-aggressive, you can steal alot of blinds.

The dealers were good. They knew what they were doing, and I saw no misdeals for the 3 hours I played there. They were friendly to the newer players and were pretty good about keeping the game going. The cards were really really new, so sometimes the cards flew at you pretty quick, but that's not anything about the dealers, it's just about how new the room is.

This is the only place where I would give a score that wasn't quite up to par. The drinks were slow in coming (even though I only drink coke when I play cards), but were still slow. The guy sitting next to me ordered some food at the table (which was kind of expensive $10 bucks for a "small" caesars salad which was still bigger than any salad i've ever seen) and the food came quickly, but the drinks before and after... not so much.

The management was pretty helpful, when they were around. The front desk is the first thing you see when you walk into the room, and there was someone there when I got there, but when I walked back there to check out (for comps), the people manning the desk were away, possibly eating remnants of someone's caesar's salad.

The comps are at $1/hr which is about standard for most vegas card rooms. There's no limit per day, so I suppose after a full day of playing cards, you could afford yourself a Caesar's salad... (I sound really hung up on that...) Ok, that's enough for me....
