Casino Buenos Aires

The casino is made out of 2 big boats permanently in port. There are no signs anywhere and employees are not helpful. All walls are mirrored to make it look bigger, which is quite disorienting. Took me 20 minutes just to find the poker room. And good luck finding a bathroom. The poker room: no signage to indicate games, tables, waitlists. There were about 7 tables going, mood was overall somber. Not a good vibe. Found the guy in charge. He was not at all interested in helping me with my very limited Spanish. Found a random dude who spoke English who confirmed that they spread a 2-5 game in US Dollars. So I went back to the main guy and asked to be put on the list. He acted like that was the most unusual request he ever heard but finally agreed to put me on the list. He was running the whole room off of an old PC running a half-assed Excel spreadsheet. Would not give me an answer about the number of people waiting or anything else. I decided to leave at that point. I think what bugs me the most is that I am sure that if someone walked into my local room who spoke little English, the floor mgr would do everything he could to find a player or employee who could communicate to him how the room works. Somehow, that person would be made to feel welcome and would get a seat. My experience was more of a @#$% you gringo, if you can't speak fluent rapid fire Argentinian Spanish we don't want you. Very disappointing.
