* The games are terrible
* the rake is the highest in all CA making it all but impossible to beat anything less than a $20/$40 hold-em game
* dealers are tired, over-worked, really don't care... it is just a sweat shop for them
* Wais for tables can be long, when announced, if you can hear them you better run and grab your seat FAST
* ambiance is old, dirty, feels like an industrial warehouse with a tarp on the walls
* area is not safe, walking to your car feels like running across the Serengetti , parking a decent car feels like a crap-shoot every time
* table stakes are by far the worst I've ever seen across the country, extremely short stacked to start with exceptionally high rakes = shove-fest constantly no poker playing
* the floor found in favor of regs over newbies even in obvious situations, let a reg pull his face down cards from the muck and asked the reg if he still wanted to play his winning hand at showdown, when other player protested floor suggested he "split the pot"
* had player grab my chip stack with floor standing next to him arguing... floor didn't say a word yet saw everything.
* Very cramped/packed in, no elbow room it is very uncomfortable, loud, chaotic mess.
This place is for pro's doing tourneys OR local degens with no place to go in life. Head over to San Diego for decent, friendly games or perhaps one of the many other semi-local choices. This place has all the charm, and warmth of county jail. It's the Temu of poker, a cheap @#$%-off of what poker should be
