Used to have great staff and a was a comfortable room to play in. Now they like to hire bottom of the barrel dealers, often with zero dealing experience, give them a crash course on training just enough to get by. But in reality they are slow, not paying attention, and making consistent mistakes. The dealers and sometimes the house will need correction from the players when they are making mistakes or doing something wrong, and I am the bad guy for pointing it out and standing up for fairness in the poker room. They enforce a "main game" at the 1/3 stake during the late night games and I have seen good games break and go to another casino on at least 5 different occasions because they refuse to move to a nit infested main game and would rather cash out and not play when forced to move tables. Upon many interventions about this issue the staff does nothing to correct it and really upsets the action players to the point where they don't come. Security has a god complex that goes way too far and it seems to be instilled by "Bob" the security manager for the casino. They are often escalating confrontations rather than deescalating and love the power trip of physically removing people. Sometimes it is necessary as they are being threatened or in a dangerous situation, but often they do not have the judgment required for these positions and I've seen some downright criminal things happen. An intoxicated girl was being removed by two security members, she was giggling and walking out as they were holding her and guiding her to the exit. Then they both proceed to throw her together into a set of very heavy oak doors making a huge noise that gets everyone's attention in the hallway and possibly injured her. Then proceed to push her through them and get her out of the building. It's very easy to open a door for her as they are removing her. Nobody was in any danger and this is a clear example of improper judgement and frankly assault and the use of excessive force. The security manager "Bob" says this is standard procedure and necessary force used. I completely disagree as well as others that witnessed this. This room is a hazard and it's no surprise that many of the good dealers have relocated to other poker rooms where they are treated better and cared for. I used to love cowboys and I frequently put many hours into playing there. Unfortunately enough is enough and cowboys casino has lost my business.

PLAYER NOTICE NLH BAD BEAT JACKPOT STRUCTURE UPDATE
Notice Posted: June 3, 2026
Please be advised that Cowboys Poker Room will be terminating the current NLH Bad Beat Jackpot structure and transitioning to a new jackpot format.
This notice is being provided in accordance with Poker Room policy and will remain posted for a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the termination of the current jackpot structure. Contributions to the current Bad Beat Jackpot will continue during this notice period.
Current Jackpot Contributions Will End: July 3, 2026
What Happens to the Current Jackpot?
• On July 3, 2026, all contributions to the current Bad Beat Jackpot structure will cease.
• Any active Bad Beat Jackpot pools, including any secondary or reserve jackpots, will be combined into one single jackpot pool.
• The combined jackpot amount will be matched to the corresponding Jackpot Tier, which will determine the minimum qualifying hand required to win.
• If the combined jackpot falls within Tier 10, no further qualification changes will occur.
• If the combined jackpot falls within Tiers 1 through 9, the qualifying hand requirements will decrease every two (2) weeks until either:
· Tier 10 is reached; or
· The jackpot is awarded.
• Once all jackpot funds have been awarded, the current promotion will be terminated.
Opted-Out Players
