There are 3 Great poker rooms in the area and derby is not one of them. Worst poker room I have ever been to. Food is trash and priced like you're on a cruise ship. Drinks are terrible and also overpriced. Decks feel like they are 10 years old. BUT THE WORST PART is the fact that if you are waiting for your name to be called you can only hear them IF YOUR STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAGE. Imagine you drive 45 minutes to play a tournament, buy your ticket, you're the 5th alternate and break is about to start so you go to the bar to waste $30 on a god awful sandwich and drink. The premade sandwich takes 15 minutes to come out and is awful. You then take 2 bites throw it away and walk back to the cage to be told you "Busted out" Buddy i just bought this ticket before break. Cage guy gives me attitude acting like im an idiot and calls the floor. Tells the floor they called my name, again IF YOUR NOT STANDING RIGHT BY THE CAGE YOU CANT HEAR THEM. Floor guy says "at this point just refund him" WHAT?!?!? I bought my ticket before registration closed and it says on the ticket 5 minutes after your seat is assigned your chips will be in play. WHY WERE MY CHIPS NOT IN PLAY??? Wasted my Thursday evening, gas money, and 30$ on a trash sandwich. I was incredibly nice to the cage and floor and they treated me like they really did not care if I gambled there again. So I wont gamble there again and would recommend anyone reading this to just drive to silks, vibes are better there, staff is better there, food and drinks are WAY better there.
