Playing 30-40 hours a week on average around various New England poker rooms, Encore has earned its spot as my new favorite. Table promotions like daily high hands and a 24/7 poker room immediately caught my attention. If you're looking for good cash games, half the 1/3 games here play like 2/5 depending on the time of day. M-F before 3pm can play a bit nitty.
I play both tournaments and cash games and the only thing I find a bit lack luster is the tournaments here. So far the only days I've seen a tournament go north of 100 buy ins is Monday.
The dealers are excellent, friendly, and efficient. Special mention goes out to Sarah, Kelly, Boon, and David, who I've never had a bad experience with at the table yet.
My one complaint is the location. The poker room is upstairs for now and is not closed off to the rest of the casino. You have slots at your back and things can get quite loud and make focusing hard at times. The poker room is slated to be moved downstairs to a new location in October and I am very excited to see how that changes things.
If you're a weekend warrior I'd definitely reccomend trying to get here before 6 as the wait times on the weekends can get long.
Outside of the location issues I have, my only other wish would be allowing side games like bomb pots, seven deuce, or even a nit game at higher stakes.
Overall, Encores poker room is a ton of fun and the staff make for a wonderful experience.
