Always call ahead.
Here’s the deal. I’ve been to this casino about 10 times or so. It’s bad. The dealers share tips and deal other games . This means they have no incentive to be fast. Last two times I have been they had new dealers on their first day... it was the weekend both times. Friday night and Saturday night. But hey, at least they had dealers. Numerous times I’ve seen the wait list 50+ long. Dealers call out of work and its gets awful. The dealers deal all games and table games take priority over the poker room. So the list being 80 names long and 3 empty tables has happened more than once. Reason? Two dealers called out so the poker room suffers.
As for the room, no shufflers, several TVs around the wall but sometimes they are on the same channel. I have never seen the staff be able to change a TV on request. Self serve drink station around the corner and the bathrooms are right there too. I don’t think they have food runners but you can eat at the table if you want. Liquor and beer cost money. Comps are 0.75c a hour I think.
The action can be good but the risk you take on choosing this poker room is there. Always call ahead. You have 60 minutes to check in so I call 45 out and usually get to the room with 5 to spare... just in time to wait forever.
I give management 1 star because they choose to not support the poker room. They chose to not transfer the shufflers from the old room to the new room. I hear the casino is being sold,’so hopefully whoever takes it over gets it ran like a real poker room.
