I just played 1/3 no limit hold em here for the first time... Showed up around noon on a Monday... they already had a list going for a cash game, and they said there was $130 turbo tournament scheduled for 1 o'clock. I was there to play cash, but I registered for the tournament because it was cheap and I wanted to kill some time. Tournament was only two tables, but players were pleasant. Chips were nice and clean. Cards seem to be large print compared to what I'm used to. Feels like I had to peel them back almost halfway to see but I had. Also, the lighting in the room seemed to be a little bit dim. I tried wearing sunglasses for a few seconds, but I immediately had to take them off because it was simply too dark to see anything with them on.
I lost the tournament, but the cash game started pretty quickly.
You can straddle after the blind or on the button for six dollars.
Action was pretty good for a Monday afternoon. The people from the tournament were mostly what seem to be older, retired folk… But the cash game had some younger players who were willing to gamble. Fun conversation and lighthearted table talk. Even when people were getting stacked, nobody was really upset. Most people just kept re-buying and playing. Only reason I left was because I had work, but I would've stayed longer if I could.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I would come back here, even though this is not the closest casino to me.
