I've waited about a month to give a review after playing several sessions. At this point I've played a combined 80 hours of 1/3 and 2/5 NL at Horseshoe Indy.
Cash Games Available: I think they have done a great job spreading a variety of stakes with appropriate buy-ins. 2/5 NL runs every night and 5/10 runs a few times per week. I don't pay much attention to PLO, but I know 1/2, 5/5, and 5/10 PLO run regularly as well. Action is very good, especially Friday and Saturday nights. Game availability and action are the most important things to me, and I think they nailed it.
Dealers: Most of the dealers were fresh out of training when the room opened in January. I have seen a significant progression in competence (quicker dealing, fewer floor calls, etc.) in the first month of being open and it will only get better over time. However, with that said, it is still refreshing to get a dealer with several years of experience that can really get a game moving.
Floor Supervisors: I'll start by saying that I understand most of them are probably new to flooring and it gets pretty hectic when the room is full. My biggest complaint is that it tends to take longer than it should for seats to fill when someone leaves the table. I think most of the issues related to flooring are due to being slightly understaffed.
Smoking: The poker room is non-smoking, but the rest of the casino has a ton of smoking and it tilts me.
Comp/Rewards Rate: I don't know the exact rate but I get food every time I'm here and my reward points have covered it all.
Tournaments: My understanding is that they have been postponed due to gaming board approval. I'm sure they will be good once up and running.
Promos: Also postponed for one reason or another.
Misc: The poker room manager, Chris, took lots of input from the community to try to build the best room he can, and it really shows. Hats off to him.
