The new phone rule is Ridiculous. I've played my last hand of poker here. Almost 20yrs since it was on the 2nd floor of Bordertown, in the Annex, the High Limit room and moved to the furthest room from the casino into the hotel. Uncomfortable chairs, cheap tables, dirty/sticky chips. Only reason I was able to hang on this long is the poker staff and players are GREAT. With these poorly thought out changes you're going to lose the customers. Then the dealers and staff will have no option to look for different opportunities. Who ever is making these business decisions needs to fold their hand. I may stop in down the road hoping changes have been made but till then I'll take my business down the road.
Suggestions
Relocate Poker Room back into the casino.
Purchase better quality tables and chairs(I shouldn't have to bump elbows and knees with the guy next to me. Not to mention I've busted about 28 knee caps sitting in seat 1 or 9.
Instead of taking amenities from the players to speed up the game direct your focus on the staff. How many hands per hour are they dealing? Do they control the table and the action? How many mistakes/errors do they make? The personalities and friendliness of the dealers is GREAT, like I said before they are the reason you have regulars or return players. But that doesn't mean they are GREAT poker dealers maximizing the houses rake.
If you need any other ideas then just walk into any other room in the world and look around for 30 seconds.
