52 is the most popular poker room in Houston right now hands down. The games play very very deep stacked and maniacal. 1/3 NLHE often sees $300+ in the pot PF. PLO is a lot of fun here, and I really enjoy that they have a wide variety of games at all hours of the day. The management is helpful and kind, and the servers are very friendly. Food is pricey but good, and time is about standard for the Houston area.
pros:
-lots of splashy whales
-always games running no matter the day or time
-monthly door fee is very reasonable
-staff is great
cons:
-because almost everyone is super gambly and deep stacked, your variance is going to skyrocket if you play here consistently.
-food & drinks are pricey
-ATM fees are stupid expensive.
-getting a brush for chips can kind of be a pain in the @#$% if you need to rebuy, as there are so many tables and so much going on
