At 1030 this morning I went to the Lilac Lanes & Casino in Spokane WA. I previously had played there a few years back and wasn't overly impressed by the poker tourneys. It felt rammed and jammed in a small room.
Today I was pleasantly surprised. The poker tournament was in a very large room with 4-5 tables with room for more.
Ryan the room manager was very pleasant and ran a good tourney with very friendly dealers.
The room has a full spate of tourneys with two a day, at 1030am and 7pm. I liked the blind structure though I like longer rounds better. Tourney buy ins vary from $25 to $50 with re-entry for 3 rounds. The Friday eve tourneys are $50 with $500 added.
There is a full bar at the end of the room with drinks available. I only drink water or tea during tourneys and they were very accommodating. They also have food available that looked like it wound be good. Try this room, I had a ton of fun (though I donked out by trying something I shouldn't have, we've all done that haven't we players?) I like this room so much I think I will make it my primary tournament destination in Spokane. They also had a full room of table games like Pai Gow, Blackjack, Spanish blackjack and others. (I did win $50 during the first break playing blackjack)
