Got the chance to drop in at this new 101 Richmond. Plenty of action and smiling faces. Good to see many familiar faces amongst the staff. It looks to me that from the owners on down that this room will succeed. The old 52 was depressing, I did not care for it. The room was filthy, needed new carpet badly and I always felt like i was being fleeced. Marked cards and collusion between dealers, floor and house players. Johnny Chan did little to nothing to improve the joint, so I only played one time as 88. Having some great vibes about the space now though. Wonderful soft opening yesterday. Looking forward to the Big Grand opening. New Years Day is going to be a good time here I see as well. So if something put you off about 88.
This is NOT 88. No more Johnny.
It is 101 Poker !!! and will set some new standards for HTX poker scene.
