I love this room. A little close between tables, but a nice room. I love the fact that its beside the sports book - especially when all the guys I'm with don't play and just want to bet the games. It allows me to play and keeps the group together. Some people wouldn't like the extra noise though.
Last year, I reviewed this room and said I didn't like the edge around the rail and was put-off by the "no checking with chips in your hand" rule. Well, the wood inlay is still there, but the felt and wood are at the same level, so it doesn't cause and uneven surface. Also, they don't let you check with chips in hand, but they now inform any new player to the table of the rule instead of waiting for it to happen, then forcing someone to bet. They also have a bet line on the felt (which I like) to alow for you to cut chips on the felt, then move forward. Prior to this, any motion forward to the felt was considered a bet, so you had to cut chips on the inlay, or pick your entire bet at one time, otherwise risk getting accused of stringing.
IMHO- Great improvements over when I played this room 1 year ago.
A couple rocks, mostly solid players, and 2-3 fish per table. Pretty easy to read and nothing too surprizing. At one point, my table had a couple of guys that seemed to be working together, they'd help each other run up the pot odds, then one of the two would drop out on the turn or river. You just have to be able to spot that, and not bet into a hand three way with 'em unless you have the absolute nuts.
Very fast and accurate. Helped explain rules for the benefit of the table and any newbies without being stuck-up about it. Good interaction with the players and most sharp and quick witted.
These ladies run like crazy!!! The drinks come fast and the refills are there often as you finish your last sip of the first one. Only downside - no Red Bull. I can't imagine a poker room without Red Bull. If any room managers ever read these posts - GET RED BULL IN YOUR POKER ROOM !!!
A very well managed room on a very busy loud Football Sunday. I waited less than 1/2 hour for a 2/4 game. The list filled to 8 and they opened a new table.
Rate it as a 3 because I don't know of any - I didn't ask the desk, but one dealer said you can get casino rate for 5hr play per day. They don't have bad beat jackpots, but do have high hand jackpots for any hand quads or better. They pay pretty well - at least $100 min. on most of the high hands and some up to $400+ if they haven't been hit in awhile.
