The focus is more on the social club than the poker. I felt like I had walked into a home game. There was this drunk guy holding court at the table. Constantly delaying the game to run his mouth. He was literally passing chips at the table to his wife. When I questioned it, the dealers all agreed that he shouldn't do that anymore. Fast forward a few hands and his wife is all in against another player. He shoves over the top to get that player out, then shows the winning hand before he mucks and sends the pot to his wife. I looked at the dealer who just shrugged. It was straight up collusion. I only stayed because I hadn't won my losses back yet. It was very satisfying to get it on the last hand by taking a big chunk of his stack and all of his wife's.
The tournament was super turbo. 2 tables only. The blinds doubled or more every level. The whole thing was over in 90 minutes. A test of luck rather than skill.
The dealers were good. The food was free and outstanding.
I probably wouldn't go back because I find loud drunks unpleasant. I understand that they want to keep their regulars happy, but when you have visitors you can't play so loose with rules. They need to stick to industry standard best practices.
