I usually love The Palace — I’ve been here about four times now, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is usually great, and the energy is just right.
But today was different. My server, Imani, really dropped the ball. She rang in my order wrong, my food came out cold, and when I went to look for her to fix it, she was nowhere to be found. Like seriously, where did she go? Totally disappointing experience compared to my past visits.
There was only one other server on the floor, and she was clearly in high demand. I must’ve heard guests call her name “Queen!” at least five times before she even got to my table. Despite being pulled in every direction, she still managed to take my drink order with a great attitude. I can see why everyone loves her, she’s sweet, personable, and really on top of her game.
It’s just unfortunate that not all the servers bring that same level of care and attention. One great server can’t carry the whole floor. Hopefully management notices the difference and makes sure the rest of the team matches that same energy and professionalism.
