Since the poker rooms opened in Houston if I had to pick a room as my overall favorite for the past six years it would have been Paramount, hands down. I was one of their first members. It was the only room in town that routinely had two tournaments a day. Great structure, affordable, free snacks, free pinball machines and pool tables and I could bring my own beers.
Now the tournaments are completely gone, after six years of reliable tournament action that was worth making the 25 mile drive for.
I'll miss the players and dealers and the "home-away-from-home" feeling I got when I walked in.
