Addressing the Freeroll Drama

The 2 posts from related individuals should not be on this site. They have nothing to do with the staff or how effectively the room is run. Which is very well by both bosses and staff consistently.

The entire point about the yelling outburst, and it was not personal, was that Mary Lou ALWAYS talks about her hands, even when not in a hand. This totally affects other players and the game. Example, if you Dylan, were trying to represent a hand against another opponent and I blurted out I had one of your hole cards, essentially diminishing the actual value of your hand, would that be appreciated? Even though it was a freeroll, we are still playing for a prize pool of $90k. In cash games she does this and I choose to not play when she is at the table to AVOID confrontation. I was at a game with an $800 cash pot and she made a gesture (in the middle of the hand) that was so obvious she folded the nut flush. I can only imagine what was going through the two players in this pot. I know what I would have done if I was on the losing end of it!

Secondly, it is one thing to chat QUIETLY with table partners, but not to the detriment or distraction of other players in the hand - for 4 fx#!&ing hours! NON STOP. We all want to enjoy ourselves, but etiquette dictates you should not interfere with the quiet decisions others are trying to make. I was the one who resorted to yelling, because the polite warnings she previously received, went on deaf ears. She was told by another player 2 seats over, Enough Mary Lou. That didn't work. Another player had to point out to her there are other players in the hand when she started chirping about her hand. She did not berate them or take it personally.

Lastly, on several occasions when she has been doing well, she starts to take on the role of Queen Bee and people have been the subject to her rude and unwarranted condescending comments and hip hip hurray cheers. Childish.

Would you like me to point out the number of people who came to me and said thank you for calling out her behavior? They wanted to say or do something about her behavior, but didn't. I am not the only one who has asked her to be quiet in the past. And that is all any of us are asking. It's nothing personal, I don't bother or engage with her for any other reason, I just don't want to hear her from the other side of the room. If she could stop talking long enough to read the room, how many others are carrying on like her? How many people are seated at the table essentially minding their own business and collecting info? Some of these tourneys go on for hours and we all struggle to keep up our energy level. There is only so much loud some of can handle and we shouldn't have to.

I won't talk about the complimentary pizza offered as a player courtesy. Well, i can't resist. Very uncouth to feel like you are entitled to take it home. The dealers are there to offer a service for sometimes numerous hours into the early morning and may not have options to leave the building for an evening dinner break. If they take the leftovers home, they earned it by providing a service to us. We don't care you don't eat at night. Then leave the pizza for those that do. They shouldn't be reprimanded for taking leftovers home. How you can write a scathing review and then show your face, proves nothing more than how immature you are.
