Like the room, dislike the button straddle

Nothing bad to say about RW, except that they allow a button straddle. This will keep me from playing here. Why take a decent $1/3NL game ($400 max buy-in) and allow it to be turned into a bad short-stack game? Also, the room is tucked away in the back, so you don't get the passers-by who might be lured in to play. This might explain why the room doesn't get much action. The $2/5NL structure is better ($1,200 max buy-in) so the button straddle doesn't quite turn it into a short-stack game, but there usually is not more than one $2/5NL game going, if it goes at all. The UTG straddle is less problematic since it doesn't give an advantage to the straddler, while the button straddle clearly gives an advantage to the straddler.
