Worth checking out

South Point has a big room for cash games and a separate tournament area (during ther WSOP only). In the cash game room the lights are so bright they will hurt your eyes, and the tournament area is a little on the dim side, but adequate. There is this bar within a few steps of the main poker room and on the front side of the tournament room, but don't expect to get your drinks any quicker. Tournaments are decent, especially the summer series. They have dailies as well. The casino itself has about everything you could want in gaming and food. It's definitely a locals casino, a locals poker room. You will always get the lowdown of what's going on around town in the poker world here. If you're staying on the Strip and take a cab here, it's going to be about $40 one way. Maybe try Uber or Lyft for a cheaper trip.
