I stopped in for a short session and the action at the table was solid and definitely a fun, loose environment with deeper stacks and players who aren’t afraid to gamble. No complaints at all about the lineup or the atmosphere.
My problem was with a floor ruling that genuinely made no sense, and it immediately ended my session.
I announced “all in” on the river in a heads-up pot.
I put a single chip forward after clearly stating the action verbally.
Dealer misheard it and announced a call.
Villain immediately tabled his hand.
I corrected the dealer instantly, and even the other players acknowledged I had verbally declared the jam before anything else happened. Action had not changed. Villain had not acted further. Nothing was ambiguous.
Floor was called and still ruled it a call only, ignoring the verbal declaration, which is supposed to be binding in every poker room I’ve ever played in.
There was no angle, no confusion, no unclear wording, just a bad ruling that cost me the full value of the decision. I picked up and left because if a room can’t get basic procedures right, it doesn’t matter how good the game is.
I’d come back for the action, but I really hope management tightens up the dealing and floor protocols. A single incorrect ruling can completely change the EV of a session.
