The room is located in a little cubby hole off to the right of the main enterance, only about 8 tables, but spaced out well. The tables are very narrow, clean, and sleek. You do not hear tons of noise from the casino floor.
I am a novice, this was my first Vegas tournament, first time playing poker in Vegas and I placed fourth in the 9am tourney. (Only up to 3rd pays) For 30 bucks, it was worth not winning any money to be able to go home and tell my friend that I placed 4th in a Vegas tourney. In the midewest, that's a big deal. The competition was mainly tourists, some tried to intimidate, but I recoginzed the style from my local tournaments as the ones who get lots of chips early on because of eratic play and end up losing them to a decent player toward the end. I beat out all of those guys.
I don't even remember the dealers. I don't remember any mistakes and I don't remember them talking or anything.
We waited FOREVER for drinks. I bet she only came around once an hour. And we were right next to a bar. She got the drinks right, but ususally didn't remember who ordered what.
The management were social, and nice. But I found it rude for them to talk so loudly with a couple of locals about other management, dealers, and other local players. Kind of a turn-off for a tourist like me. I will give it to them, they kept the room in shape, organized and the tournament running smoothly.
I got a players card, but doubt I got any comps for playing in a tournament.
