This is one of the many non-smoking rooms in Vegas, which makes for a pleasant poker experience. Tables are well-spaced apart from each other, and not smallish like you find in some poker rooms. There is plenty of room for your chips, cards, drink, and body.
Most of the players at a given table are regulars who feel comfortable in this friendly poker room, or tourists who are new to the game. Consequently, there are regularly 5-7 players to a flop in hold'em, which makes for a juicy take for the decent low-limit player. As such, this room can be very profitable on a small bankroll.
There were no major problems with misdeals/poor rulings that I experienced. The only issue with the dealers is that they are not all on the same page. Is the betting cap off when it's heads-up or not? Dealers were split on this issue. Also, they were very lenient on string bets, giving players 1-2 warnings.
I have read reviews that the cocktail service is poor, but my experience was that it was variable, but on the good side. During the day, when there is 1-2 tables open, service is scant. In the evenings however, the cocktail service was very regular. They would come back 5 minutes after serving one drink to ask again. Cheers.
My rating should more appropriately by N/A. This room does not take much effort to manage. There are only 10 tables. They do have a good dealer rotation which keeps them happy! The only complaint I might have is that they should get the dealers on the same page, as aforementioned.
I have limited experience with comps, but when playing 2/4, comps are not really a perk. I got a coffee mug. They have a high hand jackpot which is smallish, but I am of the camp that does not agree with taking an extra rake for a jackpot. I am here to play poker, not a slot machine. Then again, the jackpot probably brings in the regular donators, which may compensate for the extra rake.
