Just thought I would write a review of the new room that opened today . Without being negative ,there's a lot to like about the new facility but it's clearly got bugs that need ironing out ( to be fair as you might expect).
Firstly you cannot buy or drink alcohol in the new room as the licence to do so has not been obtained.
The lighting in the middle of the room is poor in my opinion and needs rethinking/upgrading.
If you sitting in the 1 or 8 seats it's very hard to see your opponents stack and the table for my taste is too long.The best seats are 3,4,5 or 6 .
The seats are very comfortable and the table brand new.
If you are unfortunate to be seated at table 46 if you in the 1 seat all you can look at all day is a blank wall.
As of yet the dispenser for soda has not been installed and waiting for a drink on opening day is a slow process.
The waste management golf tourney is on locally so the room is busy and has a nice vibe but to be honest I'm slightly underwhelmed - thought from the hype it would have been better .
I play mostly 2/3 or 3/5 - the games are so so in my opinion - lots of regs just waiting for premium hands but maybe that's to be expected if that's your source of income.
The staff are super friendly ,competent and they have some nice promotions to attract players.
There are 69 (8 handed tables at a max) so a large facility that I'm sure will iron out the wrinkles quickly .
Overall I would give it 8 out of 10 but given the choice would rather play at the Lodge in Austin all day long.
