This is a true story. The TCH clubs announced to raise the time rake from June 1 2025 to $14/h from $13. Terrible deal for the players. But they offer for only May 31 if you buy up to $1000 in time they offer u $300 (30%) in free time one time deal for each locations. Better than nothing so I purchase $1000 in time at TCH Social where I usually play because Social offers the stakes I play. After this I drive over to TCH Dallas to purchase another $1000 in time to get the extra $300 bonus. The lady at the counter goes "oh we can only do $999 for the 30% bonus so do you wanna do $999 and $1 in transaction?" I ask do I get 30% for the extra $1? She first says yes but I check the receipt and is not reflected so I ask again am I getting 30% for the extra dollar because if not there is no point in me spending the extra $1. Receptionist was not sure so I ask her to confirm with the manager. So the floor manager comes over and throws me a 50c from his pocket and tells me here take this. I ask the same question to him and he says unfortunately the system allows the bonus up to only $999. I tell him I don't need the 50 cents I just want what you guys advertised for which is $1000 for 30%. The manager comps an extra dollar in time to rectify the situation and I'm like cool okay. Mind u this is 5 in the morning. I walk around the club and talk to a few regulars playing poker just chatting. I don't play at Dallas as much because of the stakes are lower here. I proceed to the bar and ask the waitress for 2 sodas and I tip her a dollar. Few moments later I ask how much are the snacks and bought a bag of chips and snickers bar $2 each $4 total (snacks used to be $1 each until they raised the price like a year ago). I give her a $5 bill and ask if there is anything for sale for a dollar which she replied no so I said keep the change. I asked for another soda can (which I think is a fair trade) and she refuses to give me another soda saying this is for playing customers and since you are leaving I can only give you two soda cans which you already have. I'm like I am a member here. So moments later I return the two snacks I bought and she goes and talks to the same floor manager. The floor tells me he is not sure if you can return the snacks and sees that they are unopened and proceeds to return $4 from the cashier. I asked for the $5 I paid for and the waitress angrily gives the dollar back. Here the floor lectures me you cant take back the tip but I rebut this is not a tip I paid $5 and said to keep the change. It's not like I am asking for the tip back from the sodas. The floor tries to lecture me and I told him I am not going to continue to argue about this. Before I left I gave my two sodas to the floor and left. So the question is Am I the AH here? I can be petty back if feel they are trying to be petty. I just spent $2000 in a single day at this club and I easily spend a similar amount a month here. is this how they treat their high paying customers? I know I am a cheap @#$% but I care about each dollar I spend which I work really hard to earn. Anyways I just wanted to tell you this story which just happened. I hope you had a good laugh about it. There are thousands of good experiences at TCH but this is one of the shettiest experiences I encountered. Let me hear your thoughts. I purposely hide the names of the characters but I will add that the GM for TCH Dallas is always a gentleman and he is not involved in this story whatsoever.
I rate 1 star for Competition as they have almost a monopoly in Dallas area.
Promos 3 stars as they do some quarterly.
Dealers are excellent. I rate F&D due to the above poor experience. Management 4 as the GM at Dallas is awesome but some training is required for floors.
