The Barrel is an awesome place to play. Tournaments six days a week, and cash every night. Plenty of 1/3 NLHE, 1-2 games on Monday and Friday, some 2/5, as well as HUGE 5/10 games one Saturday a month for the high rollers. If you need to hold more cards, PLO on Wednesdays and the weekends, as well as 10/20 limit BigO with a kill will keep you satisfied.
Management is always happy to talk with players, and better yet, really LISTEN to what players want. Integrity of the game is truly at their core, and it's on display as rules are adhered to fairly and without favoritism. They have incorporated some pretty lucrative promotions as well, with select hands paying $100-$500, and high hands paying $50-300 each hour!
Dealers are really, really good. Each has a depth of understanding of the game, and are professional, even while having fun and cutting up with the players. The games here are not stale; everyone has fun, laughs a lot, and the atmosphere between players is, well, just like the name, social. The dealers' personalities play a vital role in keeping the mood light, and that's refreshing compared to a traditional table of grumpy old men smoking cigars.
Non-smoking room too, which is nice. Pool and darts, PLENTY of TVs, and some really comfortable furniture for lounging. Snacks and drinks are provided with your daily membership.
Granddaddy's Hot Chicken does an amazing job of feeding folks here, and there are the different apps you can use to have food delivered.
That just about covers it! If you're looking for a premiere club just straight up 1-65 from Nashville, or anywhere in the Southern Kentucky area, I'm sure you'll find just what you're looking for at The Barrel.
