Drove 2hrs to checkout the good things I have heard & seen online about playing poker at 'The Barrel'... I was not disappointed!!...
Greeted positivity at the door by floor manager who explained the workings of the club and the pricing. Was given a short tour of the overall huge facility and the big open area of the poker floor. Plenty of poker tables with ample seating at the table for 9 and/or 10 handed. Small seating area while you wait with a lot of TV's throughout the facility for watching anything. Drinks and small snacks provided at no charge.
Cash game's were good with dealers that knew what they were doing and very good at it. The house was splashing a random table every hour. I was lucky enough to hit the monthly pocket pair promotion while playing. Membership fee and seat rental fee is fair with the overall atmosphere is good for playing poker. Plus, I liked the presence of security who looked very professional at doing his job.
I do wish I lived a bit closer so that I could play here more often and will make the trip a few times a month just for a different place to play. This is a nice place to play poker that is managed very well and offers a nice, relaxing, AND secure environment to play some good and active poker. Check it out!!!
