Poker "area" is roped off in a long hallway on the second floor. Table conditions and the seats were nothing too fancy, but comfortable and pleasant to play in. Some extra noise from being so close to hallway traffic.
Beatable competition for the most part, though winning consistently playing aggressive and tight is hard because many bad players and beginners will call and chase to the river with any small pocket pair or just a small piece of the flop no matter how many times you raise to try to get them out. Made luck of the cards a much bigger factor than correct hold 'em strategy.
No automatic sufflers in this room with some dealers dealing a bit on the slow side. Made for more time between hands just to chat or get up to help yourself to the complementary cookies, doughnuts, and sandwiches without missing much action.
Actually VERY attractive blonde waitress there who came by frequently and served quickly. Just getting to look at her every so often made the bad beats I took on the river from the newbies chasing small pocket pairs to the river more tolerable.
Friendly and organized room management. One of the only places where the management checked to see if players had a players card and made sure that poker play was rated and comped.
Three dollars in comps for each hour of poker play is clearly among the best comp packages for poker play anywhere on the strip. No bad beat jackpots. Will comp a $75 dollar meal package for a royal flush if you use both hands (saw a newbie who just finished a lesson sit down and draw into a royal spade flush on her second hand-- but only was playing the queen as one of the hole cards).
