The room was very well kept. Everything was new and the tables were spaced far enough apart you were not bumping into someone else.
The Venetian had the most lower level games going than any other place on the strip during Memorial Day and the week following. At 4am on a Wednesday morning there were easily half a dozen 1/2 games running. You can always find lower level action at any time of day.
The players seemed to know what they were doing. I actually found the Venetian to have slightly weaker players than the ones grinding it out at Ballys.
I saw no issues with the dealers and they were very professional. Not a lot of side chatter with the dealers though, they just came in mostly and did their job and then moved on.
At all times if you wanted a drink you had one. I never saw anyone wait more than a few minutes for their drink and the waitresses looped the room so many times that you would see them again before you even finished your first drink.
Didn't run across them too much, but when we got short-handed on one table they immediately reduced the rake for us when we asked. There were always a few management people manning the desk for any questions too. They were very visible an approachable and kept a lid on everything.
The one time I did them go into action is when a drunk player wanted to riffle through the discards to show that he would have had a full house if he called the flop, turn and river bets. He started grabbing the deck and management came over and handled the situation. The drunk didn't like the outcome (they told him he could retrieve his cards) but they kept control and moved the game along.
I didn't use a card until later so I am not sure what I was earning.
