As all have said, this is a posh room. Top notch everything. It is a bit strange playing in such a large room with only 5 or 6 tables going.
Good mix of players. Best was Sun night when a new group of conventioneers came in.
No foul-ups of note. Solid handle on keeping the game moving.
On recommendation of the Moderator, I tried the Strawberry Julius on several occasions. Each time, at least 1 other player asked how it was and ordered 1 himself.

The discounted hotel room rate is huge. I booked a Concierge Suite in the Venezia Tower for $469 per night. The poker discount brought it down to $229 per night ($259 Fri/Sat $169 Sun) for a total savings of $720. We arrived late Fri night so I had to scramble a bit to give them the 18 (6 per night) total hours of required cash game play by checkout Mon morning. A couple of seriously extended lunch breaks (where I actually cashed out) helped a great deal. If you break it down, I got $40 per hour in room discount. The room was so sweet and included access to the Concierge Lounge with complimentary breakfast, happy hour and N/A beverages throughout the day. The wife really felt pampered and has newfound respect my playing poker. If you're heading out with the wife or g/f this is a no-brainer. The Venetian website says "check for availability" on anything over $400 per night. When I spoke to the Manager, she told me that the discounted rate only applies up to $400 and I would have to pay 100% of anything over. When checkout came they went ahead and gave me the poker rate without any additional charge. I wasn't about to ask any questions and am wondering if I should take a chance and book a $700 or $800 room for our next trip. I'll probably play it safe though and look for something as close to $400 as possible, but definitely still Concierge Level in the Venezia. The $1 per hour ended up paying for a nice take-out lunch after check-out.
