The room looks and feels every bit as classy as the rest of the hotel. I didn't have a chance to venture onto the main casino floor - the poker room is set nicely apart from the rest of the casino.
I played in a couple of games while I was there, neither of which were an easy clean. The 4-8 game (while I was waiting for a NL seat) was a grind. Good players, a couple of whom I quickly identified as locals, but everyone was friendly. They were competitors, though, so don't play here if you are drunk or looking for an easy clean - there are plenty of soft games out there - the Stardust and Saraha, which I visited on recent trips that had pretty easy games.
The dealers made almost no mistakes. This could have been a dumb question, but when I sat down to a newly spread 4-8 table, I asked the dealer if it was a kill game. He said no, why I would I ask that, they don't play kill games on TV. I responded, ummm, yeah, they don't play 4-8 freakin limit on TV either! He was a little taken aback by that.... dealers were great overall.
More sugar-free red bull and crown and cokes than I could drink. Quick service and some of the best looking servers in Vegas!
I signed up for a players card so I could get the poker rate on my next trip out and the floor person that night was very friendly. They all seemed eager to help and wanted to maintain the fun, but competitive feel of the room.
Who knows..
