Wynn continues to have the best designed, best looking poker room in town. It's interesting to compare it directly with the new Ceasars poker room. Wynn's and Ceasar's ceilings are both the same height, but Wynn does three things in particular to soften and "privitize" their room: 1) Wynn uses darker contrasting colors in the ceiling to lower it psychologically; 2) Wynn adds significant hanging light fixtures that help break up the large overhead space; and 3) Wynn breaks up their room with storage stations and manager stations. Compare all this to Ceasars, which is one giant beige space, and you get the idea. Wynn just "feels" so much more like a poker room should.
On Monday December 26, 8 PM - midnight, at 4/8 hold'em, it was very easy. Many Asian kids calling virturally everything to the river, and often showing third pair or worse. Only about 75% of tables were running, with short lists; compare this to Bellagio, where at 4 PM I was told "come back in half an hour."
Friendly, talkative and knowledgable. Wynn continues to emphasize personalized service at the tables by the dealers.
Wynn actually serves Diet Coke, unlike 99% of all other casinos in Vegas, who apparently have 100-year Pepsi contracts.
Pardon the sexist comment, but I've observed that the male managers and bosses seem to be more efficient, better organized and faster to call open seats at the desk than the female managers and bosses.
To counter some other reviews, Wynn DOES offer $1/hour comps with their red card. Accumulated dollars can be exchanged for buffet and other stuff. Wynn's poker rate is $99 weekday/$129 weekend, and as little as 4 hours a day of play seems to satisfy them.
