Best in Texas

Champions Club Texas weekend trip review.

Dori Coyle and I decided to take a trip to Houston this weekend to check out the new Champions Club because we knew many of the people involved with it and were looking forward to spending some time with friends.

We were not disappointed.

From the minute we pulled up and the valet unloaded our car and parked it we were treated as if we were very important people. The team that Roy Choi and Isaac Trumbo have assembled at Champions are literally the best in the world at what they do and their entire focus is on providing exceptional customer service. They are extremely humble, gracious and personable hosts whose enthusiasm permeates the entire building

Roy and Isaac greeted us as we were checking in at the hotel registration and checked in with us several times during our stay. It is evident that the entire staffs focus on the customer trickles down from the very top. Every employee we encountered was smiling, happy and seemed to truly be enjoying making sure we were enjoying our trip.

The poker room is beautiful and very comfortable. Plenty of room between tables, and the players chairs were the best I’ve sat in. The little bar area was nice and provided excellent selections of top shelf liquor and brews. This was immediately confirmed by Dori Coyle when she was able to get a perfectly made Cosmopolitan using Cointreau instead of Triple Sec. The Food and Beverage Manager (Jason Campbell) introduced himself to us and made sure we had everything we could need. The Executive Chef, Connie Trujillo, made us several excellent meals over the weekend.

It was awesome to play poker until 3am Friday night and just take an elevator up to our nicely appointed hotel room for a great nights sleep before grabbing breakfast at the bar and playing poker again at 11am. That’s right, there was no reason to leave the property until we decided to head for home!

Good luck and much success to what has to be the best poker room in the state of Texas!

Thank you…

and I’m sure there are some folks I should have tagged but somehow overlooked.

You’re doing an amazing job, have a great poker room focused on providing the players with the best possible experience! I can’t wait until you can bring this same thing to the DFW Metroplex!
