Nothing has changed, the poker room management lets 5 professional poker players run private games 4 days a week that do nothing but kill the poker economy. These time raked games allow these 5 people to take all the money from a select group of 10 or so VIPs. Everyone loses in this situation except for the 5 professionals.
Nobody comes to Derby for the private games, why cater to a group of 5 people when it costs the room money. It's not like they advertise these games? Seems like a poor business model since the private games rake in less money and cause other raked games to break up. Florida Gaming Commission should take a look, something shady going on. I wouldn't be surprised if poker management was getting kick back under the table from these players. It's a shame this room caters to these scummy people running these games.
