Elements Casino Brantford

A few years ago, I got staked to play an MTT here. Cheating between two locals seated beside each other was repeated reported to the brush and TD by five or six players at the table. Two old men sitting at the end of the table were constantly showing each other their hands surreptitiously. This happened over 20-50 times. The TD did nothing to penalize the cheaters, moreover, the two reached the final table and guess what, they were seated beside each other! I remember the TD's first name was Christopher. I don't know how long the province keeps video camera footage, but I was so disgusted that I vowed never to play at Brantford again. One theory is that they don't mind locals winning because the money recirculates at their casino. Granted, this is a pitiful explanation for their negligence. The only consolation is that the quality of management specifically for poker rooms in Ontario is generally low, the single exception I recall was some excellent TDing around and before 2007 at Fallsview's WPT events [now they are as sloppy as you can get, leaving Seneca Niagara a mediocre 'best of the lot' within 200 miles of Toronto]. The main reason I bothered to write this review is to ask the reader, 'have you heard recently if the standards have improved? Anywhere? Please let us know!' Thanks for listening. I bubbled there, btw, over a hundred players. A close friend confirmed a similarly shoddy tournament experience at Brantford, but we aren't supposed to write about that...
