Just an update to my initial review. Side tables are now available in the poker room for food orders. Moreover, I believe one can get a "to go" order from any of the many restaurants. Cocktail service seems to be a bit quicker as well. Still no automated wait list but they insist that one is coming soon. However, the word on the street is that it will not be connected to Bravo. The poker room seems to be shaping up nicely and they could fill twice as many tables as they have on the weekends --bigger would have been better. One final "feature" to mention. Men's and Women's bathrooms are only twenty paces from the poker room.
The Golden Nugget is a nice and welcomed addition to the poker scene in Lake Charles, LA (2.5 hours east of Houston, TX) and it is located right next to the L'Auberge Casino; one can walk from one casino to the other or take a short shuttle ride. I believe the shuttle service is free.
