At the beginning of their summer poker series the Nugget posted their schedule which list their tournaments which include the cost of their buy in's, the tournament structure and their guarantees, if any, for each tournament. After their tournament series started, and business was sluggish, they lowered their guarantees. They are now into their bigger buy in events and have eliminated their guarantees altogether. However , when they updated their flyers they left the $500,000 in all bold type but then inserted the words, "estimated prize pool" in small print, " The Nugget has evented a whole new category of promoting a poker tournament which I have never seen before. There are players showing up to enter the tournament and finding out that the tournament is not guaranteed. This is very unethical in the poker industry. Next weeks tournament is the $1 million guarantee and the same deceptive language is in the tournament flyer. This is false and deceptive advertising and a horrible way to treat your players.
