I went 2 nights to the GC Toronto Poker Room. The first night ran somewhat smoothly. Definitely recommend using app to get ahead on waitlist or you will be waiting a long time. Wait at the cage wasn't long but some of the chips were extremely sticky. It got to a point where it looked like I only threw 4 chips out when I wanted to throw 5, but 2 chips were stuck together. I had 1 dealer for the hour and a half/2 hour time I was there at one table and he was ridiculously slow. Didn't know how to chop pots, almost lost me money due to not knowing a J-High straight beats a 10-High straight. 2nd night was a disaster. Dealers were quicker but the table shuffler was broken so both dealers had to shuffle one deck by hand as the other was stuck in the machine. Nice people, competition was on the easier side to what I have been up against. Called floor countless times for a new shuffler and/or a new table and after about 45 minutes someone finally came over. Had an OK time but would definitely not go out of my way to revisit.
