because I frequent this poker room more than any other. Why? The same reason everyone else who goes there does. It's the only game in town. But having recently been to other poker rooms across the country, I really appreciate how this room would be out of business if there were any alternative. Mixed bag with dealers -- some are excellent, some are not, some are just awful. Like everywhere else they have trouble hiring people. Poker room opens at 11:00 am and it's hard to imagine a more disorganized fiasco in getting players seated. last time I went I was like the 3rd person on the list yet my 8 handed table was full when I got there. WTF? Waitresses hard to come by and of course thanks to some combination of NC/Tribal law you have to pay for your drinks. Still a bit of a preference for regulars which I guess is not atypical. Rake is absurd and the high hands are not available the times when most people are paying the rake. Makes total sense, right? Currently no food taking away one of their prior advantages - the room used to be located right next to an excellent Italian restaurant that did take out. Now it's not close and in any event food not permitted. Hopefully that and the opening at 11:00 am change, which would bring this to 2 chips instead of 1.
