I am a long time live stream watcher and have always wanted to make a trip to come play poker at The Lodge. Thanks to the long Memorial Day weekend I was able to make a trip to Austin to play at The Lodge. The moment I walked into The Lodge everyone was so friendly and willing to help. Every staff member, from the front desk staff, to the dealers, and and the wait staff, everyone was friendly and willing to do whatever they could to make everyone's experience the best they could.
The action in the poker games was great! Playing in Dallas the action at The Lodge did not disappoint. The 1/2 games play big and I love the fact that the buy in is maxed out at $300. Another thing I love about what The Lodge has done is cap the bomb pots at $300. Everyone loves bomb pots but we all know the pots get huge and I feel like what The Lodge has done is make the bomb pots playable without fear of having to shove in hundreds of dollars of chips.
Lastly I have to shout out Slick Rick and Skull Mike for giving me the opportunity to play on the livestream while I was there. Being a long time watcher of the stream this was a bucket list dream to play on The Lodge livestream. All the production staff and stream crew made me feel comfortable and just let me focus on playing and nothing else. It was an amazing experience!
Hands down this is the best card room on the planet. I don't live in Austin but I will be making regular trips just to play at The Lodge. The owners are doing something right and it shows. Everyone needs to make a trip to Austin and play at The Lodge.
