Here's what happened at all the New Jersey online poker sites for the week ending 02/16!
The $25,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee occurred on Feb. 16 with 135 players, which is back down from last week's huge 154 players. The buy-in was $200 +$15, so it beat the guarantee by $2,000. It was won by FuriousGeorg, who got $7,425. Bigcakes1, who won last week, continues his final table streak with a 7th place finish here. Deuxexmachin, who won two weeks ago, did not play this week.
The $10,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee, with a buy-in of $100 + $9, got 154 players, just a slight dip from 159 players the week before. This event beat the guarantee by $5,400. The winner was Donk_Star, who got $4,158. The winners of the prior two weeks, DrMtg and FinessingYou, did not play this week.
Satellites are already running at WSOP-com this week in both New Jersey and Nevada for this summer's live World Series of Poker events, happening in just a few months.
See below for the major tournament results, as PartyPoker and BorgataPoker share players and all major tournaments. There are separate promotions on each site, so it's still worth playing on both sites, though not at the same time, as the software prevents it.
The Sunday $50K, run on both Borgata and Party, continues its big spike in player numbers. This week, it got 329 players, just a small decline from 378 the week before and well above 205 the week before that. The buy-in was $185 + $15, so it smashed the guarantee by $10,865. This event was won by big.appl3, who got a massive $12,173.33.
Again, the event will change on March 2 to a $100,000 GUARANTEED event. Everyone who's anyone in the borders of New Jersey will be playing.
The Saturday $10K guaranteed, on Feb. 15, got 157 players, a big percentage jump from 118 players last week and 104 the week before. The buy-in was $91 + $9, so it beat the guarantee by $4,287. The winner was P_aire_146, who got $2,714.66.
The "Big Sunday" $10,000 Guaranteed event on 888 happened on Feb. 16, with 47 players, a slide from the previous week's 59 players. This means that, with a buy-in of $185 + $15, there was an $835 overlay. The tournament was won by KickDJ02, who got $3,200 even. The two previous winners did not cash.
Ultimate Poker runs a $20,000 Sundays guaranteed event. Last week there were 126 players, just a slight drop from 132 players the week before. The buy-in is $91 + $9, so the overlay was $8,534. This time, rams3623 won and got $5,830. If this event ever meets its guarantee, Ultimate will refund your buy-in in tournament dollars as part of a recent promotion. They're going to need nearly 100 more entries to do that.
Betfair Poker has not grown enough to have large guaranteed tournaments.
Player Numbers
WSOP-com's and Party/Borgata's numbers continue to grow, according to PokerScout, while Ultimate's numbers are flat. It probably helps WSOP that they have satellites into the live World Series of Poker; it remains to be seen what Ultimate Poker can do to match that.
