The place where money goes to die ...

This place gets points from me simply because it has been the epicenter of the poker world for years (although that is all but gone). The mystique of playng under the Wall of Fame is worth experiencing. But other than that the surroundings are nothing special.

Most people seem to have an idea about what they are doing. This remains the one room that I have yet to have a winning sessions, although I've never gotten killed either.

I go to Binions everytime I am in Vegas, and I have always liked it in the past. But I have to say that it has taken a nose-dive since Harrah's took over. Bad attitudes and bad service. Several of the long-time Binions dealers told me that they don't like working there anymore, and it shows.

Friday, February 25, 2005 -- 2 hours of play, 0 cocktails offered, 0 cocktail waitresses seen.

Organized, but I got an ear full of attitude when I asked if they could work me and my four friends into different tables. I would have thought it would be easier to find single seats at different tables rather than big blocks of room for five, but apparently this request was too much.

No, no, no, no. And no drinks at all!
